iPhone 5 release date: Powerful new iPhone 5 challengers plan to steal its glory

The alleged release date of the iPhone 5, which is Sept. 12th, is approaching and there are already market analysis firms that have placed their bets on the sales figures to reach new heights. Some say it could reach 250 million units sold, surpassing its predecessors. However, the iPhone 5 will be challenged by other manufacturers who will release their iPhone alternatives.
The options beyond the iPhone 5 are not just the Galaxy S III. If the figures that have been forecasted from analysts are met, the Samsung model can not overshadow it. But there are other manufacturers who can compete with the iPhone 5 in design, functionality and processing power.
The first could be the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. At first glance, the Galaxy Note's 5.3 inch screen size seemed too much for a smartphone and almost looked like a tablet. But with five million sold, the Korean multinational has decided to repeat the experience by improving many of the qualities of its predecessor. We will see it not only with S-Pen, but with a slightly larger screen (5.5 inches), a quad core processor, increased RAM and the latest version of Android Jelly Bean. A serious competitor.
HTC has something to say
HTC has two models that can give shade to the iPhone 5. The first is the HTC Zenith whose existence was first heard of in June. It has all the ingredients to become one of the top brands: 4.7-inch Super LCD 2 display, quad-core processor and an operating system from Microsoft that's in Windows Phone 8.
The other high-end model HTC has was recently leaked through the Web, and it bears the code name Endeavour C2 (a.k.a. HTC One X +). It is expected to be equipped with Jelly Bean, quad-core processor at 1.7 GHz, and with a screen that will be at least 4.7 inches. The latest rumors also point to the inclusion of applications such as ClearVoice and HTC Watch 2.
Nokia continues to rely on software from Microsoft, and hopes to make good ground against Apple. The Finnish group was, until recently, the world's largest mobile phone manufacturer. However, they have no showed no major growth, especially in smartphone development. Soon, the ailing Finnish company will introduce a smartphone with the new Windows 8 operating system.
Finally, although not one of the best known brands, is Huawei. The Huawei Ascend D-Quad was first spotted at MWC in February. This model features a 4.5 inch screen with 720p display with IPS technology and a Huawei K3V2 processor quad core clocked at 1.5 GHz. The initial test performance offered impressive results, surpassing even the powerful Qualcomm S4.
All of the aforementioned smartphones are expected to be launched around the same time as the iPhone 5 release date. So in the future, we will have more options besides the iPhone 5.
